Welcome, Strangers!

Although I’ve been silent on this site for a few months, I have been keeping an eye on it.  Admittedly, the main reason I log in every few days is to keep myself from forgetting my password.  It’s rather embarrassing to be locked out of one’s own website!

During my check-ins I have been observing some of the analytics.

I’m the first to admit that I do not understand anything about how algorithms work.  I have regular readers who are very near and dear to me in real life.  (Thank-you!) But the analytics have me feeling pleasantly bewildered.

I am intrigued to find that I have had several visitors whom I do not know, and I’m astounded to see where they are from…

Paraguay

China

Sweden

Netherlands

Staten Island, NY, US

Vietnam

Iraq

Pakistan

East Africa

Ukraine

There are a few from around Australia as well, including from Tasmania and Bundaberg, Qld.

Now, quite possibly these lovely people have simply stumbled upon my site by accident as they’ve searched for something more important.  But I’m humbled to see a few returning from time to time, and I truly hope that my trifles are meeting a need in their lives.

My intent for Miss Ramblings is for it to be a soft landing for people who are needing some safe time away from the difficulties of life.  I would love for it to reach far and wide, but I have no idea of how to “work the system” to promote it. And I worry about maintaining the integrity of the site in the process of marketing it.

Perhaps the more intentional promotion of Miss Ramblings will be a retirement project in a few years’ time.  In the meantime I’m enjoying watching God work His wonders by causing people from far and wide to stumble upon it.

I would love to hear from anyone for whom this has been the case.  Please send me an email if you feel inclined and let me know how you found me.
